Giggle, Giggle, Quack -Doreen Cronin & Betsy Lewin
☕️☕️☕️☕️ 4.5 #KristiCocoas Wonderful introduction of inference -can your shorties figure out what's going on? A couple nods to the adults reading the book, with smiles guaranteed for the kids! Also an excellent #bedtimebook! #kidlit #PB THE SNOWY DAY -Ezra Keats
☕️☕️☕️☕️ 4 #KristiCocoas Snowy day + Black History Month =Perfect day for a post about this book. First mainstream picture book to have a black protagonist, this story is everything childhood and snow. It’s nostalgia. It’s relatable. It’s tender. #PB #kidlit #snowyday 📚Review+✍️Activity! "Things That Are Most in the World" -Judi Barrett, illus John Nickle.
☕️☕️☕️☕️4.5 #KristiCocoas The most imaginative picture book in the world is this book being read in different accents while in a play fort under the kitchen table. It is silly and cute and fun all rolled into one idea. Each page explores "the most" of one particular descriptive word and it is such a fun idea. The book itself includes a great prompt at the end to encourage your own little imaginer. I've attached my own version of the prompt below along with another page to spark your thinking. You can cut out and randomly draw an adjective or just pick your own! You can print the images below, or click here for a PDF version
